Subject: letter from Turkey
To the attention of highly esteemed Shri Mataji and Sir C.P.
When Shri Mataji started the collective leadership and councils, the Turkish Sahaja Yogis welcomed it with such joy and excitement thinking that this would be an opportunity to become more collective and to express themselves better. But the national council that was formed in Turkey and the city councils that the main council formed made us miss the era before we had the councils. National council, at the beginning, created a more disiplined ambience and as time went by , widened its sphere of influence. And even for such unimportant matters the city councils cant move a finger without the permisson of the national council. The Turkish collectivity has been extremely patient and mature during this process and noone has intended to divide the collectivity or started any kind of protest against the council. We still continue praying our Mother that one day everything will change. We believe that all the problems that we have been through is partly because that our Guru principle hasnt yet developed fully. But recently what is happening in our collectivity has gone beyond all the maryadas and we have decided to seek for your help. We have tried very hard to express the situation in which we are in as sincerely as we could as you can feel the vibrations of this letter but still if we have done anything wrong regarding the Divine Protocol we humbly ask for forgiveness on your part and we apologize for taking your precious time and attention. Below you will find the issues by which we are discomforted and would like very much to be changed.
The national council of Turkey has over time transformed into an entity which divides the collectivity leaving some yogis outside by alienating some whom they think as negative. As a result Sahaja Yogis have started informing against eachother. Many Sahaja Yogis have gone away for arguing with Sevgi Dorosinsky (İstanbuls leader). Regardless of the fact that so many realizations are given we cant increase in number due to the people who are drawing away from the collectivity. Sevgi Dorosinsky and Zulal Pavel do net let anyone get near Neşe Algan. In 2002, only 10% of the people in the collectivity managed to stay within the collectivity. The rest first became distanced from the collectivity and then left Sahaja Yoga for various reasons.
The centers have long stopped being places that open hearts. For example one weekend when Sahaja Yogis from another city were invited to İstanbul for a meeting Sevgi Dorosinsky welcomed them by commenting I feel bad when I speak with you. Since you came I have a headache. You dont clean yourselves. They pressurize people by making them feel guilty and bad.
The members of the national council are not known by anyone in the collectivity. When they make a change they do not inform the collectivity. The Sahaja Yogis from diffrent parts of the country do not know eachother unlike before.
Noone in the collectivy knows if there is a Yuva Shakti council in Turkey.
No one but the council members know where in Turkey there are public programs or how many people received their realization.
They throw into havan the names of the people that they do not like.
They never explain how the money collected in the collectivity is spent.
The kindergarden named Kinderland has been functioning for years with an insufficent number of children and cant support itself but it is said to the collectivity that it is a very successful project. Collectivity is uninformed about the developments in that place but still has to contribute every month for the expenses for years.
Under the supervision of the council members, the city council members regularly shoebeat certain sahaja yogis in their collectivity or stringburn their names. Some Sahaja Yogis who are afraid of these practices are trying to protect themselves from the national council by mantras.
Zulal Pavel regularly shoebeats Neşe Algan to make her accept her requests. Sahaj techniques are used like black magic for their own purposes.
Everthing is carried out with such secrecy and the collectivity is not informed under the excuse that negativity will attack.
Neşe Algan can make decisons even about the private lives of council members and when they do not abide by these decisons they are punished by not being admitted to the council meetings for a few months.
Turkey is divided into regions and every region is invited to the center in Cavusbasi in İstanbul a few times a year. But for example if a city collectivity has 30 people they send a list with the names of 20 people that they want them to go so they diffrentiate among Sahaja Yogis.
A lady named Fusun from Bursa collectivity who stopped coming to the collectivity two years ago is still in the city council list while there are many Sahaja Yogis that can take her place.
The Turkish council has founded an organization that market beauty products and many Sahaja Yogis are working as marketeers. Thanks to this market chain Neşe Algan and Sevgi Dorosinsky are getting commison per all sales.
When a Sahaja Yogi becomes ill or something bad happens to them it is said to the collectivity that it is because they do not clean themselves well. But when a council member gets ill or something bad happens to them this is kept in secret from the collectivity.
Sevgi Dorosinski and Zülal Pavel constantly tell lies to the collectivity and to Neşe Algan on various matters. New sahaja yogis considering the members as priviliged believe that they have a right to tell lies.
The yogis in Turkey believe that Neşe Algan is a priviliged person and the wrong things she does will never be investigated.
Eventhough all the collectivities around Turkey is weaking day by day it is known all round the world that in Turkey Sahaja Yoga is very much developed.
The city leaders are made to feel guilty and forced to work more for Sahaja Yoga by telling them that apart from their city all the other cities are very much advanced in Sahaja Yoga.
The new Sahaja Yogis believe that vibrations flow through Shri Mataji first to Neşe Algan and then from her come to them. They believe that Neşe Algan knows everything about them and follows them all the time.
Neşe Algan and Sevgi Dorosinsky are believed to be very deep Sahaja Yogis and know everything about all Sahaja Yogis.
The council members tell others that they are chosen and salved people and only those who are close to them can be saved and they are trying to save others.
They demand from all collectivities follow the same treatments regardless of the fact that people are in vibrationally different conditions.
National council get together almost every month. They have a list of all Sahaja Yogis in every city. They pass judgement on each yogi and decide which ones should be shoebeated.
There is such discipline in centers and thats why fewer and fewer yogis attend the collective meditations. The guru principle is not allowed to develop in yogis. Nobody can do anything without the permission of the council members.
In recent years, at the nacional pujas there have been presentations stating the number of Sahaja Yogis in Turkey like 2000. To make the number seem higher they also count the people who have come to the center only a few times. All round Turkey there are only 250-300 yogis that can do puja.
Althouh thousands of realizations are given the collectivities do not grow. The people are given their realizations so mechanically in a few minutes to increase the number of realizations.
In all the centers there is a compulsory 18 week program regardless of the fact that people have different speed of growth and right after this 18 week they start an advanced course where people are introduced to the real identity of Shri Mataji eventhough they are not ready for that.
When they get angry with a certain Sahaja Yogi that person has to follow the 18 week program with the new comers again.
In Antalya, if a Sahaja Yogi hasnt attended havan for two successive weeks they are prohibited to attend havan and pujas and have to start the 18 week program all over again. Because of this fear to be punished yogis who have an excuse not to attend the havan that day call the city leader and get permission.
When they are angry with a Sahaja Yogi they tell her/him to go and apologize from Shri Mataji so making it look like even a little mistake done to them is done to Shri Mataji.
Even for very little mistakes people are punished by not being admitted to collectivity for 2-3 months. And if that mistake is done within the collectivity that person is scolded in front of everyone. So people develop this fear to be left outside the collectivity.
Sahaja Yogis are told to keep away from old yogis like Selim Ergen and Jeremy Lamaison. And again the collectivity is warned not to meet certain Sahaja Yogis or go to their house. Even to visit some yogis they need a permisson from the council.
The council members regularly use the yuva shaktis to have them take care of their children or do their personal things.
A yogi called Hakan Mengüç who attended a concert organized by Indian Embassy along with Selim Ergen is thrown out of Sahaja Yoga on the grounds that he did not get permisson from the council and accepted money for the performance.
Many Sahaja Yogis prefer to meditate at home instead of joining collective meditations at the centers because of the increasing discipline. Again for the same reason some Sahaja Yogis are intending to train new Sahaja Yogis in their house.
Some council members tell to their collectivites that they are not happy with the way Sahaja Yoga is practised in Turkey but because of their fear from Neşe Alga and Sevgi Dorosinsky cant protest openly.
People are also threatened to tell somethings about their past that they are ashamed of, to the collectivity when they are considered to be mistaken. For example a Sahaja Yogi with a homosexual background called Can who was working at Neşe Algans shop, when he told her that he wanted to quit was threatened by that.
Another Sahaja Yogi calle Arthur who was working at a jewellery shop owned by Neşe Algan, is accused by stealing some rings, in front of the collectivity but later on when the rings were found somewhere else the mistake hasnt been corrected and the young man had been thrown out of collectivity.
Another Sahaja Yogini called İmre Cindoruk who live very near Neşe Algan and Sevgi Dorosinsky are accused of being a prostitute when she announced that she wanted to start a new life in another place which is cheaper to live because of the financial difficulties she was facing eventhough she is such a dharmic person. Her mother who is devotedly working for Sahaja Yoga in Gaziantep is accused by making money by selling her body. In the end İmre Cindoruk were thrownout of Sahaja Yoga and the collectivity was told that she had left Sahaja Yoga with her own desire.
When they go to the center in Cavusbasi Sahaja Yogis are asked to hide their Sahaja Yoga badges and necklaces and are forbidden to give realizaion to people living in that area.
Even though we have very deep and knowledgable old Sahaja Yogis they can only attend realization programs but cant do anything else like teaching at the center. Only those who completely abide by the council are given posts to teach or other duties. So these people who do not have adequate knowledge about Sahaja Yoga can give wrong informacion to new Sahaja Yogis.
Yogis widely report on eachother so even for simple daily friendly conversations they are called and forced to make an explanation.
Kadıköy collectivity in İstanbul is banned to make havan in their center as a punishment.
Yogis who would like to attend to the pujas when Turkey is a hosting country, have to donate 500 dollars and those who cant pay that amount are not allowed to go to Cabella and in year 2009 those waho couldnt attend the Guru puja in Cabella were banned to do collective puja in the centers.
Many Sahaja Yogis cannot identify all these things mentioned above with Shri Matajis teachings but because of fear to be thrown out of collectivity or not to be given responsibility to work for Sahaja Yoga , cannot do anything. Many have suffered and continue to suffer. We hope all these wrong doings to stop as soon as possible and we wish to see that love, joy, humility and brotherhood to prevail once more in Turkish collectivity. We pray for a national council that will be able to gather all new and old Sahaja Yogis, that will create an atmosphere where any Sahaja Yogi can be his own guru and give realization to the whole world.
With all our respect
Turkish Sahaja Yogis

Letter from Alex Henshaw, Hong Kong, dated 28/8/2010
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As most of you are aware there have been emails sent from members of the Turkish
collective and a collective letter addressed to Sir CP which was signed by 50
people. We had been holidaying in Turkey and I was asked by Nese Algan the
current country coordinator to help mediate and try to resolve the current
crisis. While travelling around to many collectives in the Aegean,
Mediterranean, Central and Eastern parts of turkey we were able to gather a
consensus of views from the yogis. It was a very open and frank sharing which
has helped get a true picture of the situation. I was also able to investigate
the three main letters of complaint leveled against the current leadership by
individual yogis. In addition I spent many hours going over translated emails
that have been sent since March by the main protagonist group led by a man
called Yekta. What is obvious from my investigations is this is not just a
random appeal but a very well organized and systematic campaign to discredit and
attack the current Turkish coordinator and the recently appointed council.
It is very important in these situations to separate fact from fiction and sift
through and find the core issues. Obviously there are a lot of emotions and
reactions from individuals but the key here is to establish if there has been
any wrongdoing or validility in any of the accusations. The other most important
factor to consider is the vibrations of the people who are making accusations.
For many years we have seen how caught up yogis can divide and ruin a collective
because of their imbalances and distorted perspectives. Because they are very
active and aggressive they often confuse and affect new or yogis who also have
vibrational imbalances.
After going over these emails that have been sent I could feel the level of
animosity and anger that our brothers and sisters had. The letter sent only
covered some points but it is very important to note that the emails were making
much more serious claims which in a court of law would be considered as slander
and it would be easy for our sisters concerned to take legal action. What I have
established is that these claims do not reflect the truth and the majorities
either have been complete fabrications or outright distortions of the facts. It
is now clear that they were designed to discredit and attack our sisters and to
raise doubts in the world collective about their credibility and suitability for
discharging their duties. It is disturbing to think that a small group within
the Turkish collective could put so much effort in to attack the very people
that have devoted their lives in the service of Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yoga for
so many years. The evidence gathered from the collective paints an entirely
different picture. These sisters have gone all out for the development of Sahaja
Yoga in Turkey. They have personally helped so many individuals in the Turkish
collective and continue to do so. They have contributed large amounts of money
to support the development of SY in Turkey and it is clear that without them
Sahaja Yoga would not be where it is today.
On August 21st, 2010 a collective meeting was held in Istanbul with all parties
to discuss in an open way the key issues. The meeting lasted for over 4 hours
but the core issues that had been raised were discussed and resolved. There was
a lot of emotion and anger from both sides so there were many heated exchanges.
What was obvious on a vibration level that the majority of the protagonists
were very caught up. There was so much heat and heaviness on agnya, left
swadistan, nabhi and void many felt nausea. We have encouraged these people to
really introspect and work on their vibrations especially Yekta the organizer of
this group who has serious vibrational problems. I also emphasized that waging
an email campaign over many months has only served to divide the collective
which is anti sahaja behavior that our Mother would condemn. It is also
interesting that since the email campaign the media has also started attacking
Sahaja Yoga in very aggressive way. Many centres throughout Turkey have
experienced a significant drop in people getting realization since the emails
stated. It is obvious that this has been a negative attack on the advancement of
Sahaja Yoga in Turkey and unfortunately it has affected many. To rectify this
over the coming months the Turkish collective will do more clearing and try to
improve their vibrations.
I will summarize the key issues and outcomes of the meeting:
Financial Management
1) Full accounting of collective money has been maintained by Sevgi and
this is available for collective review. In the meeting it was raised that this
should become more transparent and available for the collective to see. The
solution agreed is to form a financial team who can provide to the collective
quarterly statements which will be available for review from the Istanbul
centre and everyone who makes regular donations has the right to review them. It is not practical for this information to be circulated by email to everyone and is not normal practice in any country.
2) At the meeting there were concerns raised about how the money is managed and if all projects are justified. To solve this issue an annual budget will be developed for better management of collective money with consultation with council representatives from all over Turkey. Individual projects can be reviewed on their merits both financially and vibrational.
3) Every centre in Turkey is responsible for the management of collective money in their region and should maintain accurate accounts that are available for review from the yogis in that collective on a quarterly basis.
Kindergarten
1) At the meeting concerns were raised about kindergarten that the project is losing money and the collective has to give financial support so it can continue. It was concluded that the majority of yogis over 90% in the collective
support the project and that it should continue.
2) Donations made to kindergarten are optional and if yogis prefer not to contribute it is their option. All accounts for kindergarten are available for review annually for yogis who have made contributions. The kindergarten is run as a separate entity and has no connection to SY.
3) Though we may see a kindergarten as a burden on collective resources we should consider the vibrational benefits. Shri Mataji has expressed Her desire that we start schools and create realized souls with the next generation. Her school in Cabella for example is running at a loss and is subsidized by the world collective.
4) There is also another preschool operating in Malatya which is supported by the local collective.
Communications
1) Concerns were raised about the lack of communications from the leaders and the council. There was a feeling that individuals were not able to express themselves for fear of being punished or attacked form the leadership. From our discussions assurances were given that anyone can raise any issue and that there is always an open channel for communications. There is complete freedom to express any concern but it should be done according to Sahaja Yoga principles which is directly rather than by complaining to others and creating gossip. Every 6 weeks different regions in Turkey are invited to come and stay in the centre in Istanbul. At these meetings anyone can raise up any issues or questions. For yogis who can’t attend the meetings then issues and questions can be raised with the local and regional council members.
2) Centre coordinators and council members make regular announcements at programs so yogis need to be attending regular programs to hear announcements.
3) All council meetings have meeting minutes taken and these notes are provided to all Turkish council members who can also communicate import messages to the collective.
4) An email group exists for all communications in Turkey and more effort will be made to ensure that news or announcements are circulated on a regular basis.
5) Posts for international news will be translated and circulated via email where appropriate or communicated directly through centre coordinators.
6) All complaints including breaches in Sahaja Yoga protocol should be brought to the attention of the national council which will investigate accordingly and should provide guidance and appropriate action.
7) To improve collectivity it was agreed that a national seminar will be held annually for all yogis in Turkey.
Council and Leadership
1) Questions were raised about the letters that were sent earlier in the year from Sir CP and signed by Shri Mataji stating that councils should have from 3-5 year terms and that the process of selection in Turkey did not consult the collective.
2) On the 11th June 2010 a new Turkish council was blessed by Shri Mataji with 54 members around 75% of them new members with 25% remaining from the previous council. All the candidates for the new council have been selected based on advice and vibrations by the old council and additionally a vibrational check by yogi children. After checking the list I can confirm that the vibrations support each of the new members. It was agreed the collective should give them a chance to manage SY in Turkey and that renewal will take place over a 5 year period.
3) Any yogis in Turkey who have a desire to serve on the council can submit their request and their suitability will be checked on vibrations.
4) Concerns were also raised that Nese and Sevgi make all the decisions and that the council just follows the orders. Members of the new council confirmed that this was not the case and that all decisions were made using the vibrations
without interference or any pressure from Nese or Sevgi. In order to solve this
collective needs to have more faith in each other that our brothers and sisters
on the council are good instruments of Shri Mataji. It is important to understand that majority of the Turkish collective supports the current council.
5) To improve the collective understanding of how the council operates it was agreed that there will be an open council meeting every six months where all yogis in Turkey can participate.
6) It was agreed that no council members or yogis who have signed the letter sent to Shri Mataji & Sir CP will be punished or discriminated against. Forgiveness from both sides is important and everyone agrees that a fresh start is necessary bringing a new era of unity.
7) It is important to emphasize that the selection of councils or coordinators is always done using vibrations not by votes from the collective.
8) A new world council that Shri Mataji has mentioned on the occasion of Guru Puja 2008 to manage the affairs of Sahaja yoga is currently being discussed and will hopefully be decided by the end of the year.
9) We need to understand that these structures in SY are for supporting the
development and management of SY.
Yogis asked to stay out of Collectivity
1) In some cases problematic yogis are sometimes asked to stay out of collective for a period of time until their vibrations improve. There are currently a number of cases in the Turkish collective like this and the yogis concerned are encouraged to go to the SY health centre in Mumbai for intensive treatments.
2) After discussions it was suggested that a fund be created to provide financial assistance for yogis who have problems and a genuine desire to improve to go for treatment at the SY health centre in India. In some cases they may need to go a number of times before problems can be cleared.
3) For cases where yogis behave in an adharmic way or have done any criminal things then they may be asked to leave Sahaja Yoga. This is something that should be done with consultation with all council members and should only be done in extreme cases where there is clear evidence of wrong doing.
Pledge to Shri Mataji
The meeting concluded with all yogis making a pledge before Shri Matajia that we
will all work together in a truly collective way to resolve all our differences.
On a more positive note the vast majority of the Turkish collective are very
positive and very dedicated to progressing and advancing Sahaja Yoga. There are
programs going on all over Turkey and many new centres being opened up each
year. There is a very good portal where tens of thousands of people are getting
realisation each year. On the recent Yuvashakti tour over 5000 people got
realisation. The Turkish people are very open and can get realisation very easily and great work has been done to reach many seekers all over Turkey. I hope this has helped to give all yogis a better perspective on the problems and how these have been resolved. We would request that everyone could give bandhans to unite the collective in Turkey and that they can overcome all these obstacles.
If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask me.
Much love,
Alex
Jai Shri Mataji
